It was JAWIB's annual lunch with the Witches! And as always it was a great event! Camille Crump spoke to us on how to recognise the good witch in us all! And we all had a great time shopping at the booths and networking!

Circle the Wagons

It was so wonderful to hear from Vickie Walker, founder of Circle the Wagon's Foundation. She started this foundation to help victims of violent crimes after she lost her husband Jeff in the Trolley Square shooting.

She put together this "can of comfort" with lemon drops, that police can hand out to victims.

It has a 24 hour survival guide to help them know what steps to take and who to go to for the help they need.

Christmas changing of the guard

The year ended with a party and some fun.. The Hampton was the perfect location and A flair for food provided a fantastic lunch... we had a changing of the guard saying goodbye to board members and welcoming in the new.. plenty of business were able to promote their products.

Fitness & Scholarship Luncheon!

We had a wonderful luncheon for June and learned so much from Jode with Thrive Fitness! There are so many myths out there about fitness and nutrition it was exciting to hear about what is.......and what isn't true! I am excited to start implementing what I learned! We also had our highschool scholarship recipients and we were so proud to hand out three this year! These gals are so motivated and hold so much promise for our future!

We had our BBQ social last week and it was so much fun to see all of you! I feel like I don't get out enough sometimes, things are always busy and I forget how much fun we have when we are all together. I enjoyed talking with everyone and even met some new faces! Kari & Joscie....how cute!

We have to say thank you... thank you... thank you... to Craig Dearing and Gary Hogan for being so wonderful and cooking the delicious food for us all!
Sweet Ellie, I don't know what we would do with out you! The decorations were fantastic as always! And you did a wonderful job making everything come together!

Garden Party!

We had our Garden Party on June 11th at the Jordan District Water Conservatory and learns a lot of things to do and different plants to plant that are water conscious for this desert that we live in!

Christopher really taught us a lot and the gardens are beautiful! I would encourage anyone to go out and tour them. They have set up a number of different landscapes to help you plan your yard and Christopher is so helpful!

The flowers were so beautiful I had a really good time taking pictures of them! Also want to say a special Thank you to Ellie for all the gorgeous decorations!

We also had Megan Jones and her Parents at our luncheon and Megan is our 2008 WIB scholarship recipient! She will be going to SLCC in the fall in the dental hygienist program! Congratulations Megan! We are very proud of all of your accomplishments!

This is the first post of the new WJWIB blog and I am so excited to be able to say it will be great to have a place everyone can go and see what WJWIB is up to. We have a lot of fun events coming up and I am excited to be able to post pictures and update this blog so that we can keep everyone updated on what is going on!
